The Hopeful Workspace

This is the home (for now) of the Hopeful Workspace podcast by Nyasha Green. Tune in and listen to the stories of people dealing with job loss, or tough job situations. Learn from them, and use this space as a place to breathe easy.

Episode 1: What’s your story? (Transcript Included)

This episode features the stories of five people who have experienced either a job loss or workplace struggle. I wanted to bring their stories together to be a source of encouragement to others in similar situations and also to let people know they’re not alone.

This episode is my story. I talk about what motivated me to start the hopeful workspace podcast and what I’ve been doing the last year. I am honest and vulnerable about things while remaining hopeful and giving advice on what to do if you are in a similar situation.

TW: Contains mentions of sexual harassment.

Workism is rooted in the belief that employment can provide everything we have historically expected from organized religion. In this episode I get to speak with Carl Alexander, a programmer, business owner and the founder of Ymir. We talk about Workism, and how to find your own agency and happiness in a life not defined by work.
